I’ve had a few members ask this question of me in the past few weeks. I’ve had even more sit down and discuss what is the social media platform they should concentrate in. So, let’s break down the stats.
Before we do that, let’s put in perspective, there are people out there making thousands of dollars a month by just being on social media and monetizing making slime (if you don’t know what that is, then ask a friend that has a daughter under 15 years) or dressing up hedgehogs or making sounds while they eat… it’s a strange world out there.
But, what I am saying is that social media is at such a level now - there are more people watching YouTube than traditional TV worldwide - that you need to take notice and get in the game at the right place. Let me be clear - if you wanted to get on TV in the years gone by you had no chance (unless you were a major band)… but if you want to get on YouTube today you need your smartphone and a free YouTube account.
OK - so let’s break down the numbers:
Let’s, 76% of adults in the U.S. are able to make a purchasing decisions on social media… that is a lot of buying power. So, the answer for 95% of the businesses that I coach with, is a resounding yes.
